Italian car designer

The son of a carpenter who got his start pounding out dents in a body shop, Sergio Scaglietti went on to establish a coachbuilding shop that created many designs for Ferrari. Among his best-known cars were the Ferrari 250 Testarossa, the 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione, and the custom 375 MM given by film director Roberto Rossellini to Ingrid Bergman

Scaglietti seldom found it useful to sketch out his designs, preferring instead to simply start pounding out sheets of aluminum over bags of sand.
